The Rich Jerk's Sexist, Homophobic Advertising

The Rich Jerk's supporters claim that promotional material like this video:

in which the Rich Jerk "brands" his "property" (his terms), and copy like this:

Plus, everyone in attendance will have to sign a non- disclosure document. Therefore, you can be sure your wife, girlfriend, or whoever will NOT find out what happens when you are hanging around a couple of super hot, slutty models in the grotto or a sex room.

from a recent sales letter promoting his "Playboy Mansion Party" are either not sexist on the face of it or, if they acknowledge that the ads are sexist, they assert that "the Rich Jerk is just a character."

Let's see if I have this right: The Rich Jerk's sexist, homophobic advertising is harmless because "it's just a character?"

My question to the Rich Jerk's supporters is if characters featured in ads like the following were also harmless because, after all, they were just characters:
